If oil goes down to $30-$40 a barrel, then it will make it much harder for clean energy. Governments are going to have to think hard how to adapt to low oil prices,” Richard Branson says.

The advanced Ligo instrument has made progress, and now has the ability to detect black hole collisions 27 megaparsecs (33 million light years, 833132947000000000000000 meters). The final goal is to be able to measure gravitational waves 200 megaparsecs away, 10 times larger than the original Ligo.
